Not quite done yet

We're not done yet!

We found Monty! An unbelievable feat considering 100 days had passed since he was cruelly taken and dumped 7km away. Plucked from his life and ours and dumped in a desolate area. He walked 2.3km. Not a bad feat for someone 5 inches tall.

A lady in the search party sent a photo of him during the search. We knew immediately it was Monty. They were 3 minutes away from where we were searching.

It is an understatment to say Dave and I were euphoric!

Monty was very scared, but softened once we spent some time with him. He started doing his dance which has always endeared us to him. He literally dances with joy. Needless to say it filled our hearts to have one of our boys back.

Main thing is that he is healthy. My worst nightmare saw him festering with injury and wounds.

Our boy. Happy feet

Physically he is A ok. Mentally he is not himself. Jumpy, twitchy in his sleep, and happy to isolate himself in the bedroom. He calls for me and Dave all the time. He just wants us to sit with him. We are hoping with some rest, care and time he will get back to his old self in a week or so. We obviously have no idea what traumas he has suffered in his epic journey.

The lady who found him - I can't express how we feel towards her. An absolute god send. She was as happy as us to find him.

All the cats we have rescued in his absence were cueing up to meet Monty. If our boys hadn't been cruelly taken, this gang would probably have died where they were dumped.

Many people participated in the search party. After only 30 minutes he was spotted. A little bloody miracle!

Monty was being cared for in the garden of a local man who was very kind and said he often has cats just turn up and they feed them ❤️
We were over the moon. I think we are blurry as we were both physically shaking.
Some of the search team heard we had found Monty and joined us to celebrate.

It's given us a new lease of hope for finding Winnie and Blacky. Will be great to change their title of Lost to Found Boys of Khalifa City.

Here's to never giving up.
